I have been writing and drawing since I was about 6 years old, which my first public piece being a play that I wrote at the age of 7 that was performed during the graduating ceremonies for The Harlem School of the Arts. I continued my artistic pursuits throughout high school, participating in various literary endeavours, and studying art, graphics, and music, even attending a performing arts magnet school here in Las Vegas. This line of study persisted through college, as I studied music, recording technology, and graphics, until finally getting my Bachelors in English from UNLV.
I have been striving to try and help encourage the arts and literary communities in Las Vegas for over ten years, having aided such programs as the West Las Vegas Art Center. I have also shown my work in exhibits in varying locations around all of Las Vegas, including Otto's Malt Shop near UNLV, as well as the Commerce Street Studios and the Gypsy Den in the Arts District downtown.
Outside of purely arts-related avenues, I have written for many publications, both in and out of school, from being the Arts & Entertainment editor for the now-defunct Coyote Press paper at the Community College of Southern Nevada, to managing numerous websites over the years, and writing reviews for many different employers and publications. |
